Mapping of the Swiss Quantum Ecosystem

This overview presents the key actors and highlights of the Swiss quantum ecosystem, developed as part of Swissnex’s global initiative on quantum technology.

The factsheet was compiled by Swissnex and first presented at the Swissnex Quantum Summit 2023. The updated version was released at the Swissnex Quantum Summit 2025.

The SQI collaborates closely and constructively with Swissnex to enhance the visibility and international connectivity of the Swiss quantum ecosystem.

Recommendations of the Swiss Quantum Commission for the Use of Public Funds for 2025–2028

The Swiss Quantum Commission has formulated recommendations for the use of public funding in the area of quantum research and innovation over the time period of 2025 to 2028. In line with the scope of the Swiss Quantum Initiative (SQI), the recommendations are formulated with a view along the quantum value chain, from basic scientific research to societal and industrial applications. Values in in the attached document are subject to change depending on the ongoing planning financial processes of the Confederation.
